with O.Greis, H.Kreutz and Schultze, founded the group 'Quadriga' in
Frankfurt. First Informal paintings inspired by Wols and Tachisme. |

in the Venice Biennale. |

in the documenta 2 in Kassel. |

| 1959-79 | Taught
painting at the Düsseldorf Academy. |

Götz' calligraphic improvisations make him one of the main exponents of Lyrical Abstraction in Germany. |
