Klein Blue' (IKB), a luminous ultramarine blue whose mixture Klein

Contemporain in Paris. Founder member of the Nouveaux Réalistes. First 'Cosmogonies', images created by the action of natural elements (e.g. rain, wind, plant imprints). |

With his use of unusual materials and unconventional techniques, and the involvement of the elements fire, water and air in the creative process, Klein did much to extend the boundaries of which is considered 'art'. |
