Noland's works are representative of Hard-Edge- and Minimal Art. Along with Morris Louis he developed Color Field Painting with thinned paints. At first he worked with disk-like color fields, then gradually began to use horizontally laid color bands in soft, harmonious tones. In the mid-80s, he became involved in computer arts. |
