1979 painted mostly in dark colours. |

| 1987 | Designed
a monumental tapestry for the new Ministry of Finance in Paris. Awarded
a major national prize for painting in Paris. |

in Seoul. |

a series of stained-glass windows for the Abbey ofConques in France. In
many of Soulage's paintings, broad swaths of black or dark brown hover
over a pale or lightly washed ground. |
